SSDF participated in a five-day training programme on Education in Emergencies (EiE) under the EU-funded ITALEEM project, implemented jointly by UNESCO and UNICEF to Strengthening Education in Emergencies through Knowledge Exchange and Collaboration. The programme bring together 28 participants from CSOs, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Migration and Displacement in August 2026 in Erbil, The training strengthened participants’ knowledge and practical skills in key areas of EiE, including inclusive and conflict-sensitive education, needs assessment, preparedness, coordination and advocacy for education in emergencies. Participants explored ways to make education responses safer, more inclusive and responsive to learners affected by emergencies through interactive sessions, case studies and practical exercises.
