Sorouh for Sustainable Development Foundation

Sorouh Sustainable Development Foundation (SSDF) participated today, 8 October 2026, in the national conference marking the launch of the Ministry of Education’s electronic platform for the “Back to Education” programme, held at the Qalb Al-Alam Hotel in Baghdad.

The event was organized in cooperation with Save the Children International, with support from Education Above All Foundation (EAA) through the FORSA Project.

The launch was attended by the Minister of Education, H.E. Abdul Kareem Abtan Al-Jubouri, the Prime Minister’s Adviser, the Chair of the Parliamentary Education Committee, the Head of the Executive Body for Literacy, Ahmed Abbas Rashk, Head of the Ministerial Team for the Back to Education Programme, as well as senior education officials, representatives of UNICEF, donor countries, and partner organizations implementing the FORSA Project in Iraq.

The campaign aims to reach more than 150,000 children across Iraq within 30 days. The newly launched platform will support case identification and monitoring, data management, and follow-up on children’s return to education, while also contributing to the development of accelerated education and learning support programmes.

Sorouh is proud to contribute to these collective efforts and to work alongside partners in advancing practical and sustainable solutions that place access to education and children’s right to learn at the heart of Iraq’s education response.

Effective partnerships bring us one step closer to ensuring that every child has an opportunity to learn.
