SSDF Organizes Parent-Teacher Association Training Workshop in Samarra and Balad

SSDF, in partnership with Save the Children and funded by the PPL Program, organized a two-day Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) training workshop in Samarra and Balad, Iraq. The workshop aimed to strengthen the role of PTAs in school management, community mobilization, and advocacy for quality education. The training covered a range of topics, including PTA roles and responsibilities, school development plans, child protection, and inclusive education. It also included practical sessions on communication skills, conflict resolution, and teamwork. A total of 35 participants (15 females and 20 males) representing 10 schools from both districts attended the workshop. The participants expressed their commitment to applying the knowledge and skills gained through the training in their respective schools.
