SSDF Holds the First Community-Based Protection Committee Meeting in Sinjar

SSDF, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and funded by USAID, held the first meeting of the Community-Based Protection Committee (CBPC) in Sinjar. During the meeting, SSDF provided an orientation on the Committee's Terms of Reference (TOR) and work plan to clarify its roles and responsibilities. The organization also conducted an election to select the Chairperson of the CBPC and two Deputy Chairpersons. Committee members agreed to organize an information session for 25 stakeholders in Sinjar. The topics and materials for the awareness campaigns will also be reviewed and approved to ensure they are tailored to the needs and context of the local community.
